Original media: Inks, gouache, acrylics, pencils, watercolour, gold leaf and gold thread
The ruins of Castle Carr lie within a private estate in Luddenden Dean near Halifax. This vast, mock-baronial style castle was begun by Captain Joseph Priestly Edwards in 1859, though neither he or his eldest son lived to see its completion. The castle was demolished in 1962.
